Security Supervisor
The Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily security operations, ensuring the safety of staff, customers, and property. This role provides leadership to security officers, enforces company policies, maintains compliance with security protocols, and ensures a high standard of service delivery across all assigned sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Oversight
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of security officers across assigned shifts or locations.
- Conduct routine patrols, inspections, and spot checks to ensure compliance with SOPs.
- Monitor access control, CCTV systems, alarm systems, and incident reporting tools.
- Ensure all posts are staffed, operational, and equipped with required materials.
- Staff Leadership & Performance Management
- Train, coach, and mentor security officers on procedures, customer service, and emergency response.
- Conduct performance evaluations, corrective actions, and shift briefings.
- Manage attendance, punctuality, and uniform compliance.
- Support recruitment and onboarding of new officers.
- Incident & Emergency Response
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and emergencies, ensuring proper escalation and documentation.
- Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain logs in accordance with company standards.
- Coordinate with law enforcement, emergency services, and property management when required.
- Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to company policies, and client requirements
- Enforce safety protocols and support workplace health and safety initiatives.
- Administrative Duties
- Prepare shift schedules, post assignments, and daily activity reports.
- Track equipment inventory (radios, keys, flashlights, etc.).
- Ensure accurate handover notes between shifts.
- Support payroll accuracy by verifying attendance and hours worked.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of security experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Knowledge of security operations, emergency procedures, and incident management.
- Experience in hospitality, commercial property, or residential security preferred.
- Strong communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid security license (where applicable) and clean police record.
