Accounts Clerk

Job Summary: 

Our sister company, a Financial Services provider is looking for an organized and articulate Accounts Clerk to support the Finance and Accounting team. The Accounts Clerk will be a key member of the organization, supporting employees and functions across all offices with the timely processing of accounting transactions and activities. The Accounts Clerk will exercise a strong attention to detail with strong analytical, and organizational skills, and High standards of ethics and confidentiality to handle sensitive information. 

 

Reports to: Sr. VP of Finance  

Location: Nassau, BH  

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Timely processing of accounting transactions (i.e. accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, and receipts), while adhering to company policies
  • Preparation of accounting reports
  • Timely reconciliation of bank accounts monthly
  • Petty cash reconciliation and maintenance
  • Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records.
  • Posting financial transactions in accounting software
  • Assist with the month-end closing process.
  • Provide accounting and clerical support to the finance department.
  • Electronic filing of records.
  • Function in accordance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws
  • Any additional duties as assigned. 

Required Skills/Abilities:  

  • Ability to perform filing and record-keeping tasks.
  • Data entry and word processing skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail with an aptitude for numbers
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills and team-oriented
  • Works well with deadlines with good prioritization and punctuality

Education and Experience: 

  • Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
  • Experience working with accounting software (preferably QuickBooks)
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
  • Accounting experience, preferably as an accounts payable clerk
  • Bachelor’s or associate degree in business administration or accounting
