Experienced Cashier
*Job Summary: *
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cashier with prior experience in retail to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, accuracy in handling transactions, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
*Key Responsibilities:*
- Accurately process sales transactions using POS systems
- Handle cash, credit, and debit payments, and issue receipts or change
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Greet customers warmly and provide helpful, friendly service
- Answer customer questions, locating items and make product recommendations or alternatives
- Resolve customer issues or escalate them to a supervisor as needed
- Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts
- Follow all company procedures - Assist with restocking and merchandising
- Managing and rotating inventory
*Qualifications: *
- Minimum 1–2 years of cashier or retail experience
- Strong math and money-handling skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light merchandise
- Honest and reliable
- Self motivated and willing to learn
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic computer skills
*Preferred: *
- Experience in health and beauty product usage
-Bookkeeping/ QuickBooks experience
- Flexible, may be required to work Saturdays as needed
