Job Title: Church Maintenance & Grounds Handyman
Position Summary:
The Church Maintenance & Grounds Handyman is responsible for maintaining the church building and surrounding grounds in a clean, safe, and well-presented condition. This role requires a dependable, respectful, and service-oriented individual who can perform general maintenance duties and support the smooth operation of church facilities and activities.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform light maintenance and minor repair work throughout church facilities

Conduct routine inspections of the building and report maintenance issues as needed

Maintain church grounds, including lawn care, trimming, cleaning, and general landscaping

Ensure maintenance supplies are properly stocked, organized, and monitored

Communicate and coordinate with suppliers and vendors regarding maintenance supplies and materials

Assist with setting up and preparing areas for church services, meetings, and special events

Communicate effectively with church leadership regarding maintenance needs and updates

Ensure the church environment remains clean, safe, and welcoming at all times

Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:

Ability to read and write clearly

Basic maintenance, repair, or handyman skills preferred

Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Dependable, respectful, and responsible attitude

Willingness to work in a faith-based environment
Work Schedule:

Flexible schedule, with the ability to work 5 days per week, including weekends

Must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays as required

Two (2) scheduled days off per week, which may vary based on church operational needs and events
