Accounts Clerk II (Payable)
A vacancy exists at The Grand Bahama Development Company Limited (“Devco”) for one (1) Accounts Clerk II (Payable) for its Finance Department.
Job Summary:
The Accounts Clerk II (Payable) is an entry-level position performing routine accounting and clerical duties. The role supports the Finance Team by ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions and maintaining organized records.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
- · Daily Posting of AP Invoices.
- · Weekly Vendor Payments.
- · Manage Petty Cash – (Company & Executive).
- · Monitor Bank Accounts for AP returns – keep abreast of account balances.
- · Liaise with Vendors on AP variance/Adjustments.
- · Reconcile Devco’s Bank Accounts.
- · Vendor Reconciliations.
- · Accruals/EOM Adjustments.
- · Assist with the Cashier for end-of-day reconciliation in the absence of the Accounts Receivable Clerk
- · Perform Cashier Role when needed.
- · Update Trade Payables for the month-end closing.
- · Post Payroll Entries.
- · Prepare Intercompany Payment Transfers per request.
- · Facilitate Draft requests as needed.
- · Prepare Purchase Order/Receive Purchase Order.
- · Update Cash Balances (Devco/Lusco).
- · Submit Central Bank Reports monthly.
- · Assist in month-end and year-end close procedures
- · Protect the organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
- · Assumes and performs other relevant duties and responsibilities directly related to the job.
Education, Certification, License & Experience
- · Associate’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration or a related field.
- · At least three (3) years of experience in accounting.
- · Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently.
