Position Summary:
The Camp Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a remote man camp housing up to 300 residents. This includes managing accommodations, food services, housekeeping, maintenance, safety, security, and logistics to ensure a clean, safe, and well-organized living environment. The Camp Manager coordinates all staff and subcontractors, ensures regulatory compliance, and acts as the primary point of contact for residents.

Key Responsibilities:
1. General Camp Operations
· Supervise and coordinate daily camp activities across all departments (kitchen, housekeeping, maintenance, security, laundry).
· Ensure smooth check-in and check-out processes for residents.
· Oversee camp cleanliness, hygiene standards, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
· Maintain camp occupancy records and manage room assignments.
2. Staff Management
· Manage, train, and schedule all camp staff (20–40 personnel depending on camp size).
· Conduct daily briefings and department meetings to maintain team coordination.
· Monitor staff performance and provide leadership, guidance, and discipline as needed.
3. Budget and Inventory Control
· Prepare and manage the camp budget including food, cleaning, maintenance, and labor costs.
· Oversee procurement and inventory of supplies, including food, cleaning products, and maintenance equipment.
· Ensure cost-effective and timely ordering to avoid shortages or waste.
4. Safety and Compliance
· Enforce strict safety protocols, sanitation standards, and emergency procedures.
· Conduct regular inspections of rooms, kitchens, and common areas.
· Liaise with health and safety officers and ensure compliance with local and company regulations.
5. Communication and Problem Solving
· Serve as the primary contact for resolving resident complaints and issues.
· Maintain effective communication between management, staff, and external vendors.
· Prepare and submit daily/weekly operational reports to head office.

Qualifications:
· Minimum 5 years of experience in remote camp, hotel, or facility management (man camp experience preferred).
· Proven leadership and personnel management skills.
· Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
· Knowledge of food service operations, housekeeping standards, and camp logistics.
· Understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and basic facilities management systems.

Preferred:
· Bilingual or multilingual ability (especially English + Spanish or Creole).
· Certification in remote site management, food safety, or hospitality.
· Experience working in the Caribbean or other remote environments.

Work Conditions:
· 6 days/week in a remote environment, often in hot or humid conditions.
· On-call availability for emergencies.
· Housing and meals provided on-site.
