Job Title: Gas Station Pump Attendant
Job Summary:
The Gas Station Pump Attendant is responsible for providing excellent customer service while safely and efficiently assisting customers at the fuel pumps. This role ensures smooth daily forecourt operations, maintains cleanliness, and supports overall station efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service
- Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival
- Assist customers with fueling vehicles when required
- Provide information on fuel types, promotions, and services
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve minor concerns courteously
Fueling & Safety
- Operate fuel pumps in accordance with safety regulations
- Monitor fueling activity to prevent spills or hazards
- Ensure all safety procedures are followed at all times
- Respond quickly to emergencies and notify management when necessary
Forecourt Maintenance
- Maintain cleanliness of pump areas, driveways, and surrounding grounds
- Remove debris, clean spills, and ensure a neat appearance at all times
- Restock windshield cleaning stations (water, squeegees, paper towels)
Cash Handling & Transactions (if applicable)
- Accept cash or card payments for fuel transactions
- Accurately process sales and provide receipts
- Maintain accountability for all transactions handled
Operational Support
- Monitor fuel levels and report shortages or equipment issues
- Assist with opening and closing procedures as assigned
- Support team members and supervisors in daily station operations
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous customer service experience is an asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Basic math skills for handling transactions
- Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
