Sales Representative (Hair & Beauty)
Job Summary
The Beauty Representative is responsible for assisting the Brand Manager with the promotion, branding and selling of beauty and cosmetic products. This position requires a high level of off-site projects in the retail industry.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Spend time with customers and recommend products which best suits the customer’s lifestyle, skin type, skin tone, face shape and age.
- Achieve sales objectives and ensure that the shopping experience results in a successful sale.
- Ensure excellent service level and that brand standards are being upheld.
- Develop new customers and retain loyal customers.
- Provide consultations and makeovers at special events.
- Conduct educational sessions at a professional level.
- Provide training and coaching to cosmetic team.
- Monitor stock levels in the retail environment and assist the in-store cosmetic representatives with re-ordering items when necessary.
- Implement and maintain planograms for cosmetics, hair care, hair color and skin care.
- Executes any other duty assigned by management.
Organizational Relationships
This position reports to the Marketing Manager. He/she interfaces regularly with Lowe’s Pharmacy’s staff as well Lowe’s Wholesale’s Sales and Marketing staff.
Requirements - Education and Experience
He/she must have a high school diploma or general education certificate and preferably one or two years of relevant Cosmetology or Beauty training or experience. Basic understanding of the retail industry is desirable. He/she must be a self-motivated team player, have a professional demeanor with reasonable communication skills.
Physical and Emotional Demands
He/she must have the physical ability and emotional intelligence to perform the essential functions and responsibilities of the job. This is a demanding position that requires a flexible schedule and dealing with difficult personalities and conflicts while maintaining a consistently professional and calm demeanor.
