Job Summary

Operate and maintain waste-reclamation equipment to ensure safe, efficient processing and recovery of materials. Diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and support site compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy equipment and waste-processing systems to safely receive, move, and process materials.
• Monitor control panels, gauges, and system indicators to maintain optimal performance and throughout.
• Perform daily pre-use inspections and routine servicing (fluids, filters, wear components, hydraulics).
• Troubleshoot mechanical/electrical/hydraulic issues and complete minor repairs; escalate major repairs to maintenance/contractors.
• Maintain accurate equipment, maintenance, and waste-handling records (e.g., manifests and performance logs).
• Follow SOPs and enforce safe work practices to meet site safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
